This skin rescue balm win CBME New Star award
Proving that gentle, science-backed care for babies can go global
Barely a year after receiving their gold award from the China-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nation) Expo last October 2024, the Philippines' very own Bebebalm garnered another award last July.
This natural skin rescue product for moms and babies was recently recognized at Children, Baby, Maternity Expo (CBME) held in Shanghai, China last July 16 to 18, 2025. CBME is considered one of the largest international trade expo for products and services that cater to babies, kids, and expectant mothers.
In an Instagram post under the brand’s account, the woman behind Bebebalm revealed more details about this momentous achievement. “We're so happy to share that Bebebalm won the international 2025 CBME New Star Awards,” writes Carol Ong. “It is the first of only three ASEAN brands—and the first Philippine brand —to receive the honor.”
Carol's journey began when she discovered that her baby had eczema. Like many parents, she tried countless remedies in hopes of easing the irritation—but nothing seemed to work. Frustrated yet determined, she turned to plant-based ingredients and science in search of a gentler, more effective solution. This eventually led to the creation of a natural balm designed to help relieve itchiness, soothe extreme dryness, and improve the appearance of scars, dark spots, blemishes, and rashes—while also supporting more restful sleep.
This recognition affirms that Philippine-made products can stand alongside the world’s best in baby care. Carol shared in a follow-up Instagram post, “CBME was super high pressure on me because it's the world's largest mom & baby expo, and I finally dared to join it.” That leap of faith paid off—not just with an award, but with the validation that Bebebalm delivers quality on a global scale.
