Two meteor showers will be visible in the skies this August, providing viewing opportunities throughout the month, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its astronomical diary.

PAGASA recommended observing from dark, open areas away from city lights, such as rural areas or elevated locations, for the best chance of seeing meteors.
No telescopes or special equipment are needed.
