Over 5,800 job vacancies offered in Malabon mega job fair
The Malabon City government held its 2nd Mega Job Fair for this year at a shopping mall on Friday, August 1, offering around 5,809 job vacancies for job seekers.
"Ang Mega Job Fair na ito ay bahagi ng ating layunin na mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay ng bawat Malabueño. Sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng access sa trabaho at kabuhayan, binibigyan natin ng pag-asa ang ating mga kababayan at pinapalakas ang ating lokal na ekonomiya (This Mega Job Fair is part of our goal to improve the quality of life of every Malabueño. By providing access to jobs and livelihoods, we give hope to our countrymen and strengthen our local economy)," Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.

Around 40 local and 10 international employers from different industries—including manufacturing, retail, customer service, logistics, and healthcare offered job opportunities that cater to the skills and career goals of applicants.
According to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) , companies were hiring for various positions, including: production worker, company driver, delivery rider, forklift machine operator, crane operator, paralegal, SAP consultant/specialist, customer support representative, helper, office assistant, laboratory analyst, quality assurance analyst, production crew, receptionist, encoder, customer care specialist, accountant, sales executive, account keeping staff, and inventory clerk, among others.
A one-stop shop was also available at the venue, where job seekers could conveniently process employment-related documents from national government agencies such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, TESDA, and DOST.
First-time job seekers were able to apply for these documents free of charge, in accordance with the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act.
