James Reid has his eyes on a new kind of future—and it has nothing to do with showbiz.

In an interview with Karen Davila, the singer-actor revealed that his biggest life goal now is to become a father. “That’s taken over my priority list,” James shared. “I want to do it and be very good at it.”

He credits this shift in mindset to his current relationship with Issa Pressman. “That’s something that my relationship with Issa kind of brought out in me,” he said.

Asked what he loves most about her, James related: “She gives me a reason to want to be my best. She makes me want to be better than my fears and insecurities. That’s love.”

James also shared his personal mantra: to be “healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Health, for him, means living fully. Wealth refers to meaningful relationships and creative abundance. And wisdom, he says, is learning from past mistakes.

That includes his past with Nadine Lustre.

Together, they were one of the country’s most beloved love teams, and James admitted, “It was something special.”

“But there was a lot of toxic culture around it. It was mentally stressful—for both of us.”

Still, there’s no animosity.

“We’re civil. There’s no problem, certainly with me,” he said.

When asked what he would say to Nadine today, his reply was simple: “I wish her all the best. She seems very happy.”
