3 missing after boat capsizes in Laguna Lake

Three individuals, including a 16-year-old boy, went missing after the boat they were riding capsized in the waters of Laguna Lake, within the jurisdiction of Pililla, Rizal on July 29.
According to the Pililla Municipal Police, the incident occurred at around 3 p.m. after the boat carrying five people departed from Sitio Manggahan in Cardona, Rizal, en route to the town of Pililla.
While cruising the lake, a strong gust of wind suddenly hit the boat, causing it to flip over.
Two survivors, a 17-year-old Grade 12 student and another 17-year-old boy, were able to swim to safety. They reported the incident to the authorities.
A rescue operation was quickly launched to save the three other passengers identified as Marlon Anito, 38, John Lawrence Bonde, 20, and James Carriaga, 16.
Search and rescue efforts were still ongoing as of this writing.
