Sexagenarian cabbie found dead in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – A 62-year-old taxi driver was found dead inside his vehicle at the parking lane near City Hall on Thursday morning, July 31.
The driver was a resident of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Police said the driver was unresponsive when a security officer conducting a routine check of the City Hall perimeter knocked on the door of the front passenger side where he was lying down and appeared to be sleeping.
The guard immediately contacted the Baguio City Emergency Medical Service that declared the driver dead at 6:41 a.m.
The driver’s wife said her husband suffered a mild stroke in 2021 and has been taking medicines for high-blood pressure since then.
