Police arrested a 30-year-old man after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in Taguig on July 30.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at about 10:15 p.m. by the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Hagonoy.
Arrested during the operation was alias Marlo, a newly identified street-level drug suspect, the police said.
During the transaction, the suspect sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover cop. The police discovered two additional sachets in the suspect’s possession. The three sachets contained 16.6 grams of shabu valued at P112,880.
Police also confiscated a genuine P500 bill used as marked money during the operation and five P1,000 bills used as boodle money.
The suspect will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the Southern Police District, said, “The successful arrest of this street-level drug suspect underscores our relentless campaign against illegal drugs. We remain fully committed to our mission of safeguarding our communities and bringing those involved in the drug trade to justice.”
