Ehrran Montoya invites brides to fulfill their ultimate fantasies with his 'Secrets of Awakening' collection

If there is a look that carries a lot of pressure, it would be the wedding look. For brides, a gown must not only reflect their personality but also abide by tradition. The same can be said for grooms, as their style choices on their wedding day mark a new chapter in their lives. Finding that perfect look can be a daunting task. But if the couple yearns to bring their ultimate fantasy to life, they must embrace a blend of imagination and intention.
Ehrran Montoya and his 'Secrets of Awakening' collection
That’s what Ehrran Montoya’s latest collection is all about—unbridled fantasy. During the sixth edition of Conrad Manila’s signature bridal fair, Inspired Beginnings, the emerging fashion designer unveiled a bridal couture line dubbed Secrets of Awakening, which highlights a deeply spiritual and personal chapter in his creative journey.
“This body of work was born not from mere aesthetic inspiration, but from what I can only describe as Divine downloads—visions and messages I’ve received through an awakened spiritual connection,” Ehrran tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “Each piece in this collection channels heavenly bodies, symbolizing the interconnectedness of the soul and the cosmos. They are interpretations of our muses’ essence, mirrored in divine geometry and cosmic alignment.”
Secrets of Awakening features bolder expressions through grand silhouettes, unexpected shapes, and celestial motifs. To present these, Ehrran and his team worked with materials such as abaca, using its organic stiffness to create sculptural drapery. They also used liquid organza, matte organdy, silk satin, and glittered tulle—making every piece that graced the runway a harmonious blend of structure and softness.
“These materials are more than decorative—they’re extensions of the collection’s intent,” the designer muses. “The construction techniques we applied are what we hope to bring to future brides and grooms alike: purposeful, textural storytelling that transcends trend and speaks directly to the soul.”
When asked how the collection mirrors the style preferences of today’s couples, Ehrran explains that couples are no longer just seeking the perfect dress—they’re seeking truth.
“This collection invites them to go inward first, to align their bridal vision with their spiritual essence. The gowns are not templates, but mirrors of one's own self,” he says. “The intention was never to create ‘trends,’ but to unveil the deeper truth of each woman’s spirit. In this way, the collection isn’t about emulation but illumination. We hope it inspires brides to see their wedding attire as an extension of their inner light, not just their outer style.”
