Dead baby boy found floating in Angono, Rizal river

The body of a baby boy was found floating among heaps of garbage -- including a dead rat and fish -- in a river in Angono, Rizal on Wednesday, July 30.

Police said the naked baby was initially mistaken for a doll, as it drifted amidst debris and water hyacinth near Barangay San Vicente.

It was only upon retrieval by a concerned citizen that it was confirmed to be a dead infant boy.

As of Thursday afternoon, authorities were still coordinating with nearby towns to determine if there had been reports of a missing baby.
