CIAC secures over ₱1 billion in new investments in first half

State-run Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) has secured more than ₱1 billion worth of investments, positioning the Clark Aviation Capital as a key investment hub.
In a statement on Thursday, July 31, the CIAC said it has attracted a total of ₱1.19 billion of investment pledges from January to June, more than double the investment inflow in the same period last year.
“Since the CIAC’s rebranding, Clark Aviation Capital has continued to be a draw for both foreign and Philippines-based companies needing prime location in proximity to the Clark International Airport,” said CIAC President Jojit Alcazar.
The CIAC, the premier aviation and land development arm of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), was created to operate the Clark International Airport.
Following the airport’s turnover to Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the state-run firm’s role shifted to exercising oversight functions over the airport and managing the Clark Aviation Capital.
The Clark Aviation Capital is the 2,367-hectare government land where the Clark International Airport is situated.
Alcazar said the new investments will boost tourism, commerce, and infrastructure in Clark, a burgeoning economic hub north of Manila.
“These new investments translate to direct job generation, a robust ecosystem of aviation, logistics, commerce, and manufacturing, and increased investor confidence in CIAC,” he said.
The top investor for the first six months of the year was sourced from Korean construction firm Stellavia Development Corp. (SDC), which committed to invest ₱600 million for the improvement of its mixed-use recreational complex in Clark.
SDC currently operates The Glory Hotel and Residences.
Global Square Plaza Phils. Corp. (GSPPC) is another top investor, with a pledge of ₱400 million in capital outlay for the development of a multi-use facility.
The facility, which is expected to create over 100 jobs in its first year of operation, will consist of a storage warehouse, drone training school, and recreation facilities.
France-based All Fashion Gloves Inc. (AFGI), a pioneer locator of CIAC, will reinfuse ₱18.27 million for the construction of new manufacturing facilities.
AFGI is engaged in the manufacturing and export of premium leather goods, exported from Clark to leading global fashion brands.
UET International Corp. and UET Box Manufacturing Corp. are reinvesting a total of ₱169.7 million to produce high-quality knitted products and custom shipping boxes.
Meanwhile, fixed-base operator and ground handling service provider Skytrack Aviation Services will invest ₱5 million to build an office within the Clark Aviation Capital.
“These firms see the strategic value of investing at the Clark Aviation Capital which continues to be recognized as a hub for innovation, opportunity, and sustainable development,” said Alcazar.
He said these new investments will bring in more than 700 jobs and additional employment opportunities through support industries, contractors, and service providers.
The Clark Aviation Capital is home to over 60 locators spanning aviation, logistics, commercial, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.
