The city government of Las Piñas announced that “Bakuna Eskwela," a program that provides free vaccination to students to strengthen their immunity, will start on July 31.
Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar encouraged parents to allow their children to get free vaccinations against measles-rubella and tetanus-diphtheria for students in Grades 1 to 7. Female students in Grade 4 will be given human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
Aguilar said the City Health Office (CHO), under the supervision of Dr. Julie Gonzalez, will start the conduct of free vaccination on July 31 at CAA Elementary School at 9:00 a.m.
She said the school-based immunization campaign will continue up to August 29.
The mayor assured that the vaccines to be administered to students are safe.
