"House Hotshots" FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list Rep. Brian Poe, Batangas 6th district Rep. Ryan Recto, and Negros Occidental 3rd district Rep. Javier Miguel "Javi" Benitez are all eager to show their worth after being elected as assistant majority leaders.

The three--whose average age is 30--are all first-time House members in the 20th Congress.

They took to their respective Facebook pages on Tuesday night, July 29 to express their thoughts about their designations.

"It’s an honor to be elected as Assistant Majority Leader of the 20th Congress. Hindi po ito simpleng posisyon ito po ay dagdag na responsibilidad na buong puso kong tinatanggap, para sa inyo (This is not a simple position, it is an added responsibility that I wholeheartedly accept, for all of you)," Recto told his Facebook followers.

"Salamat sa aking mga kasamahan sa Kamara sa tiwala, at sa bawat Batangueño at Lipeño na patuloy ang suporta at paniniwala sa Serbisyong may Talino at Puso (Thank you to my colleagues in the House for their trust, and to every Batangueño and Lipeño who continue to support and believe in public service that's marked with intelligence and compassion)," he said.

"Tuloy-tuloy lang po ang trabaho. Mas marami pa tayong dapat gawin. At habang lumalawak ang pagkakataon, lalalim din ang ating malasakit (The work continues. There is still much to be done. And as opportunities expand, so too does our deepening sense of care)," added Recto.

In a separate post, Benitez wrote: "My appointment as one of the Assistant Majority Leaders of the 20th Congress is both a privilege and a responsibility that I accept with humility and firm resolve to serve with purpose. I feel truly honored and humbled to have been selected for this role."

"We are working together with the Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos in ensuring the efficient and productive flow of legislative work in Congress," he said, referring to the person who elected them.

"I extend my sincerest gratitude to my colleagues in Congress for their trust and confidence in my leadership," added Benitez.

Meanwhile, Poe's message to his followers was short and sweet.

"I am honored to be appointed as Assistant Majority Leader of the House of Representatives in the 20th Congress.

"Asahan niyo po na pagbubutihan natin ang trabaho sa Kongreso at mas pagtutuunan natin ng pansin ang kapakanan ng taumbayan (You can count on us to work even harder in Congress and to focus more intently on the welfare of the people)," he wrote.
