Groups extend assistance to over 100 families at Calumpit evacuation center
More than 100 families taking shelter at the Calumpit National High School evacuation center in Barangay Calumpang received food and relief assistance from various groups on Tuesday, July 29.
Among the first responders were the Bulacan Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BFCCCI) and the Racal Quick Response Foundation Inc., which provided meals to the evacuees.

Bread and snacks were also distributed to children and their guardians, led by siblings Jad Racal and his brother, with support from BFCCCI members headed by its president, Victor Kho.

Evacuees expressed gratitude to the Racal brothers and BFCCCI, particularly for the warm meals—including favorites like siomai and shanghai—which even earned appreciation from teachers at the school-turned-shelter.
The Kababaihang Manananggol ng Bulacan (KMB) also extended assistance, distributing food packs to 186 families staying at the evacuation site.

The distribution was spearheaded by KMB President and Malolos Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Sita Jose-Clemente, along with Vice President for Internal Affairs Judge Corazon Domingo-Rañola and Vice President for External Affairs Judge Maria Maruja Narvaiza-Mendoza.

They were joined by fellow judges, prosecutors, private lawyers, and legal professionals from both the public and private sectors.
According to Atty. Lantin, KMB remains committed to providing humanitarian services through legal missions, community outreach, seminars, and donation drives.
The group draws inspiration from the historic legacy of the 20 Young Women of Malolos, known for their courage and advocacy for education and reform.
KMB’s founding president is retired Court of Appeals Associate Justice Aurora Santiago-Lagman, who now serves as its President Emeritus.
Evacuees expressed their deep gratitude to all the groups that provided support, especially those who brought food for the children, which helped ease the difficulties they faced due to the flooding.
