After the first game hiccup, the reigning World Champions capped their climb in the lower bracket of Group B with two dominant games against the Malaysian representatives to earn a clash against Europe's Team Spirit in the quarterfinals
King “K1NGKONG” Perez starred in the series opener, taking full control of the jungle battle after securing all of the major objectives that gave Onic PH the lead despite trailing in kill score.
It didn't take long for Onic to reach its power spike from there with Duane “Kelra” Pillas dominating the team fights using his Granger including a 4-to-1 trade where scored a triple kill.
Kelra finished with a 4-1-3 line while K1NGKONG was equally impressive on the Lancelot pick with 4-1-2 KDA to spearhead the come-from-behind 9-7 Game 1 win.
Onic PH showed no letup from there as both Kelra and K1NGKONG continued to stamp their class with perfect showing in Game 2.
K1NGKONG exploded for a neat 7-0-3 KDA on the jungle Fanny pick including a double kill in the final clash where Onic PH scored a four-man wipe to get a free lane for base push.
Kelra shone once again on the Granger with a 5-0-6 line as Onic PH ended the match in a 17-6 kill score.
As a reward, Team Spirit picked Onic PH as its quarterfinals foe after dominating Group B with 2-1 victory over Team Flash and 2-0 win over Homebois.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid PH, which came out the group stage spotless, picked Aurora Turkiye as its quarterfinals opponent. Aurora Turkiye was the team that sent Onic PH to the lower bracket of their group.
The MSC playoffs fire off Wednesday, July 30.
