Father fatally stabs son in Ilocos Sur

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union -- A 38-year-old farmer was allegedly stabbed to death by his father during a heated altercation inside his house in Sitio Cangao, Barangay
Tiagan, San Emilio, Ilocos Sur on Monday evening, July 28.
Police identified the victim as
Zaldy Callang.
Investigation said the victim had just arrived from a drinking session in a neighbor's house when a heated argument erupted between him and the suspect Johnny, 65.
The victim strangled
the suspect who grabbed a knife and stabbed his son several times in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
The suspect was arrested after the incident and faces appropriate charges.
