Pateros Mayor Gerald German announced that two male pickpockets who victimized a woman were arrested by the police.
The woman was victimized outside the Magdalena Pawnshop on P. Herrera Street in Barangay Aguho, Pateros.
German called the attention of the Pateros police headed by Col. Joseph Talento, acting police chief, about the incident. Pateros Police Substation 2 officers immediately launched an operation.
Police arrested two of the six suspects who worked together to victimize people in different parts of Metro Manila.
The Pateros municipal government said the two arrested suspects are not residents of the municipality. A complaint for theft will be filed against them, while the police continue a manhunt operation to arrest the other four suspects.
“Pinag-iingat po ang lahat at hangga't maaari ay iwasang maglabas ng mga mamahaling gamit sa pampublikong lugar upang hindi maging biktima ng mga masasamang loob (Everyone is advised to be careful and, as much as possible, avoid taking out expensive items in public places so as not to become a victim of criminals),” it reminded the public.
