86-year-old man injured in subdivision fire in Muntinlupa

An 86-year-old man was injured in a house fire in an exclusive subdivision in Muntinlupa City on July 29. 

In a report, the Muntinlupa City Fire Station said the fire started at about 2:42 p.m. from a house on Trese Martires Street in Alabang Hills Village Phase 1 in Barangay Cupang. 

Firefighters raised the first alarm at 3:04 p.m. and the second alarm at 3:13 p.m. before the blaze was put out at 4 p.m. 

The injured was identified as Luisito, 86, the house owner, who suffered burns on the right arm and right foot. He was given first aid by the Muntinlupa City Fire Station before being rushed to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center for further treatment.

The origin of the fire is under investigation. 

The Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (MCDDRM) deployed a search and rescue team and an ambulance while the fire station sent four fire trucks, an ambulance and rescue vehicle. 

Barangays Cupang, Alabang, Bayanan and Putatan, all in Muntinlupa, deployed fire trucks, water tankers and an ambulance.
