The fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 28, held at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, proceeded in a generally peaceful and well-organized manner, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director for Administration and Officer-in-Charge Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said.

Silvio said the activities, including various protest actions, concluded without any untoward incident.
“Thanks to the cooperation of protest leaders and participants who strictly adhered to security protocols, all protest activities remained peaceful and lawful in line with Batas Pambansa Blg. 880,” Silvio said in a statement.
Around 4,000 demonstrators gathered near St. Peter Parish along Commonwealth Avenue to stage protest actions coinciding with the President’s SONA.
Despite the large crowd and intermittent rains, authorities noted the high level of discipline among rallyists.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all our police officers, force multipliers, partner agencies, and stakeholders who remained on the ground, rain or shine. Their professionalism and dedication were key to the success of our security operations,” he said.
“We owe the success of our peace and order operations to the collaborative and unified efforts of all agencies involved. With the guidance of CPNP, PGen. Nicolas Torre III, and NCRPO Regional Director, PMGen. Anthony Aberin, our security operations for SONA 2025 were executed smoothly and effectively,” Silvio added.
