While Marcos promised that he will do more in the last three years of his term, Marcos admitted that it will not be smooth-sailing.
So, he encouraged the public to never get scared, never lose hope, and never back down, vowing them that the government will always stand behind them.
"Alam po natin sa ating puso kung ano ang tama at ano ang mali. Kung ano ang mas mahalaga at mas makabubuti sa sarili, sa pamilya, at sa ating bayan. Sa mga matitinding hamon na binabato at hinaharang ng ating mundo ngayon, nasa likod ninyo ang pamahalaan (We know in our hearts what is right and what is wrong. What truly matters and what is best for ourselves, our families, and our nation. In the face of the intense challenges that the world throws at us today, your government stands behind you)," Marcos said in his over an hour speech.
"Huwag tayong matatakot. Huwag tayong titiklop. Huwag tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa (Let us not be afraid. Let us not back down. Let us not lose hope)," he added.
The President capped his speech by recognizing that Filipinos are inherently brave, talented, hardworking, resilient, and kind.
"Tayo ito. Tayo ang Bagong Pilipino (This is who we are. We are the New Filipino)," he said.
Marcos also stressed that he will face the last half of his term "with the lessons I have personally learned from you close to my heart."
He encouraged the people to not allow themselves to be distracted from the path of progress.
"Huwag nating hayaang malihis ang ating pagtuon at pagtahak sa landas ng kaunlaran, dahil nasa abot-tanaw na natin ito. Ito ang dapat nating patunguhan. At kayang-kaya natin itong marating at maisakatuparan (Let us not allow ourselves to be distracted or diverted from the path of progress, because it is already within sight. This is the direction we must take. And we are more than capable of reaching and fulfilling it)," he said.
