Guico sought a comprehensive plan for drainage system reconstruction, pumping stations, and retention ponds.
He said that the provincial government will dredge rivers in line with Department of Environment and Natural Resources
Administrative Order No. 2020-07.Guico asked the support of Vice Gov. Mark Ronald Lambino and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for an ordinance that will create a task force focused on flood mitigation and rehabilitation of the province’s flood control systems.
Meanwhile, Avenix Arenas, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office assistant head, said 15 municipalities and cities were flooded by heavy rains from the recent southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones.
