The Abra Solid North Weavers clobbered the Zamboanga SiKat, 80-60, while the San Juan Knights subdued the Ilagan Isabela Cowboys, 87-79, to improve to identical 19-1 win-loss records.
Dave Ildefonso anchored Abra with 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists even as Encho Serrano and Marwin Taywan chipped in nine and eight points, respectively, while combining for 10 assists. Raven Gonzales and Jolo Mendoza also conspired for combined 16 points and seven boards.
Carl Bryan Cruz scored 14 points and seven rebounds while Reggz Gabat had 13 points and eight boards in a losing effort for Zamboanga, which tumbled to 15-6.
Meanwhile, returning Orlan Wamar, who was sidelined for nearly two months due to injuries, presided over the Knights’ romp with a near double-double performance of 15 points and nine assists, while Mike Calisaan and AC Soberano contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Arth Dela Cruz posted 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists for Isabela, which saw its four-game winning streak snapped, falling to 11-9.
