The province of Laguna reported 55,000 individuals in 244 barangays affected by tropical cyclone ‘‘Crising’’ and the southwest monsoon or ‘’habagat.’’
Gov. Sol Aragones has visited affected areas to oversee relief operations and listen to the concerns of displaced families.
Aragones said that under her ‘’Gobyernong May Solusyon’’ campaign, the provincial government remains committed to delivering continued support and assistance, especially for communities still facing the aftermath of the calamities.
Relief goods were distributed to affected families in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
She added that through ‘’Akay ni Gob’’ program, free breakfast, lunch, and snacks were served to evacuees and affected residents.
These efforts were made possible with the support of local government units, SOL Ladies, and volunteers.
Around 44,000 individuals are currently staying inside evacuation centers while about 3,110 families or 11,000 individuals are temporarily housed with relatives or in other shelters in Laguna.
