Rep. De Venecia aids Pangasinan flood victims

DAGUPAN CITY – Pangasinan fourth district Rep. Gina de Venecia is conducting relief operations for flood victims here.
Assisting her are former Pangasinan Rep. Christopher de Venecia, former House Speaker Jose de Venecia, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Among the recipients were residents of Barangay Bacayao Norte.
Mayor Belen Fernandez said flood water is still rising as of Saturday due to a river above critical level and the city being a catch basin of water from neighboring towns and higher areas towards Lingayen Gulf.
Some road here are impassable to light vehicles: Mayombo-Caranglaan Road, A.B. Fernandez Ave. to Burgos St./Burgos Extension; Zamora Extension; Calmay-Carael Road; Perez Boulevard (University of Luzon); Old De Venecia Highway, and Tapuac-Lucao.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Region 1 (Ilocos) advised that some roads here have limited access due to floods:
-- Judge Jose de Venecia Blvd. Extension Service Road 1 and Service Road 2.
-- Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Tarlac, Barangay Caranglaan-Barangay Mayombo, BPI Bank-Villaflor Hospital.
-- Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Tarlac, Barangay Mayombo, Villaflor Hospital-Five Star Terminal.
-- Judge Jose de Venecia Sr. Ave., Sea Oil Gasoline Station Section.
-- Judge Jose de Venecia Sr. Ave., Vine Yard Resto- Junction Traffic Light.
-- Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Zambales, Barangay Lucao, YMCA Section.
-- Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Zambales, AB Fernandez-Burgos St.
-- Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Zambales, Barangay Lucao District Section Tapuac.
The DPWH suggested alternate routes for Urdaneta Junction Dagupan-Lingayen Road via Zambales.
-- If going to San Fabian, Mangaldan, San Jacinto, Manaoag, and Santa Barbara, take Judge Jose de Venecia Blvd. Extension and Dagupan-Bonuan-San Fabian Road and Pangasinan-La Union Road.
-- If going to San Carlos City, Malasiqui, and Bayambang, take Carmen Junction-Bayambang-Manat Road.
