Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion commended the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) “all-out support” for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as showcased in its recently held Bagong Pilipinas Tatak Pinoy National Trade Fair.

The event, attended by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and DTI Secretary Cris Roque at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall, celebrated Filipino brands that champion environmental sustainability.

“It shows how far we can go when government goes all-out to support Filipino MSMEs,” Concepcion said, adding that the trade fair reflected the immense potential of the country’s MSMEs.

The proudly-Pinoy companies transformed material waste and abundant natural resources into high-value, eco-friendly products for both retail and commercial markets.

The fair also showcased Filipino craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and technological innovation used in Filipino-made products.

“Behind these well-made Filipino products is the DTI’s strategy to help Filipino MSMEs upgrade their processes, develop new product lines, and integrate advanced production technologies. It’s designed to encourage our MSMEs to use modern technologies to create beautiful objects using local materials,” the Go Negosyo founder said.

“It is proof of how hard the DTI is working to help elevate our MSMEs to better function as the engines that drive our economy, and we in the private sector fully support that,” he added.

The fair, which runs from July 23 to July 27 and is aligned with the Tatak Pinoy Act and the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Program (TPSP) to support a greener and more inclusive Philippine economy, featured works of MSMEs from across the country.

Those who participated in the event expanded their market access and learned about innovations they can apply on their production processes.

The fair was organized by the DTI through the Bureau of Market Development Promotions and OTOP, and supported by the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Office under the TPSP’s Market Access Component.
