Parañaque City responders rescued residents trapped in their homes, including a dog who almost drowned in creek inundated with rising flood waters.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said a rescuer heard a dog crying and struggling at the creek in Barangay San Dionisio. Without hesitation, the rescuer jumped into the creek to save the dog.

Olivarez said the rescuer, who was training members of the City Veterinary Office (CVO) in saving animals, turned the dog over to the city’s animal center.
He said the dog was immediately attended to at the animal shelter and was given food.
Olivarez reminded residents to be extra vigilant in saving not just themselves but also their pets from flooding.
