Marcos urges public to use eGov Super app for easier access to healthcare services

President Marcos has encouraged Filipinos to make use of the eGov Super app in order to easily gain access to various healthcare services, including consultation.

"[I]-download niyo na po yung eGov Super App dahil pagna-download po ninyo, lahat po ito – halos lahat kasi kailangan magpatingin sa doktor. Pero lahat yung registration hanggang sa pagkuha sa parmasya ng inyong gamit, lahat ay magagawa na na online pagka nasa inyo na yung eGov app para mas madali naman (So please download the eGov Super App because once you have it, everything—well, almost everything since you still need to see a doctor—can be done online, from registration to getting your medicine from the pharmacy. It will all be easier once you have the eGov app," Marcos said on Friday, July 25.
The President said this during the launch of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s (PhilHealth) Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) in Quezon City.
"Hindi na kayo bibiyahe mula sa inyong tinitirhan hanggang sa malalayong mga capital city, sa malalaking regional center. Doon na lang po kayo (You no longer have to travel from your home to faraway capital cities or large regional centers. You can just stay where you are)," Marcos further said.
Marcos also stressed that ordinary Filipinos must be informed about the existence of the mobile application and the various healthcare programs of the government.
He urged everyone to use the government's facilities and ordered government agencies to let the people know that there are programs like this.
"Ang isa pang bagay na kailangan natin talagang tugunan, kailangan malaman ng tao na mayroong ganito. Kung minsan gumagawa kami ng programa na maganda ngunit walang nag-a-avail dahil hindi nila alam (Another thing we really need to address is making sure people know that this exists. Sometimes we create good programs, but no one avails of them because they don’t know about them)," Marcos said.
"At kung alam man nila, hindi nila alam kung paano gagawin, saan sila pupunta, o ano yung website na pupuntahan nila, ano yung eGov app. Kaya gagamitin po natin lahat ng pasilidad ng pamahalaan upang ipaalam sa taumbayan na may ganitong klaseng programa at ganito ang pag-avail kung ano yung pangangailangan ninyo (And even if they do know, they don’t know what to do, where to go, what website to visit, or what the eGov app is. That’s why we will use all government platforms to inform the public that this kind of program exists and to show them how to avail of it based on their needs)," he added.
Originally launched in 2021, the PhilHealth’s Konsulta (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) Program has been enhanced and expanded into a more comprehensive primary care package.
It now covers additional drugs and medicines, more laboratory tests and includes cancer screening at accredited primary care facilities nationwide.
It is designed to support Filipinos at every stage of life, prioritizing their health and well-being by promoting early detection, preventive care, and access to essential outpatient services and medicines.
