Facebook post triggers man to stab wife to death in Rizal

A man was arrested for stabbing his wife multiple times leading to her death following an argument allegedly triggered by a Facebook post in Rodriguez, Rizal, on Wednesday, July 23.
The San Mateo Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the suspect as “Herson,” 37. He was arrested after voluntarily surrendering with the assistance of his relatives.
According to the investigation, the suspect and the victim got into a heated argument at around 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, which was allegedly triggered by an undisclosed Facebook post.
Authorities said that during the argument, the suspect threw hot coffee at the victim’s face, then stabbed her multiple times with a knife.
He immediately fled toward Barangay San Isidro, while the victim was rushed to the San Mateo Medical Center in San Mateo, Rizal, where she was later declared dead while undergoing medical treatment.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Rodriguez Police Station.
