These gadgets were confiscated on Thursday night, July 24, based on a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data issued by Presiding Judge Lucila Cad-Enjambre of the 7th Judicial Regional Trial Court in Mandaue.
During the operation, the Anti-Cybercrime Unit-Central Visayas and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Mandaue City Field Unit rescued a Shih Tzu dog with her newly born puppies.
The house was raided last July 2. Since the raid, the house was cordoned off before the WSSECD was implemented.
The raid was based on a complaint for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 9208 as amended by RA 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2012 and RA 11862 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.
The complaint stemmed from reports that a woman was forced to work in the hub. She was allegedly barred from leaving her workplace.
She was rescued while nine Chinese nationals were arrested. Some of the arrested foreigners were injured after they jumped from the second floor of the house in an attempt to escape.
Police Major Jannah Rose Parcon, chief of the CIDG-Mandaue City Field Unit, said the gadgets will undergo forensic examination.
Parcon said evidence gathered from the examination will strengthen the anti-human trafficking cases filed against the suspects.
Parcon said close monitoring is ongoing to unmask possible Philippine offshore gaming operators illegally operating in the region.
