Mayor Isko inspects Santa Ana Hospital, coordinates with DPWH on road hazards

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso conducted an inspection in parts of Santa Ana on Thursday, addressing persistent issues related to sanitation, public infrastructure, and healthcare services.
As part of his inspection, Domagoso visited Santa Ana Hospital where he checked both the medical facilities and the condition of the patients.
He spoke with hospital officials about the current state of services and discussed the arrival of new medical equipment aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
His visit emphasized the need for continued investment in public health infrastructure and support for medical personnel serving communities with lack of resources.

During his rounds, Domagoso observed uncollected garbage piling up along several streets in Santa Ana.
The unsightly and unsanitary conditions raised public health concerns, particularly with the rainy season increasing the risk of disease and flooding in the area.
In another part of the district, he came across a public fountain being used by children as a swimming pool.
The situation, he said, highlighted the community’s lack of safe recreational spaces and the need for stricter monitoring of public amenities to ensure children's safety and proper use of facilities.
Domagoso also visited senior citizen who were victimized by the uneven asphalt overlay along F. Manalo Street in Punta, Sta. Ana.

According to barangay personnel, the asphalt work was part of a project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Many of the affected individuals were elderly residents with impaired vision, making them particularly vulnerable to accidents caused by the poorly executed roadwork.
A representative from DPWH was present during the mayor's visit and informed him that the issue would be addressed promptly.
The agency committed to making the necessary repairs overnight to avoid causing traffic disturbances in the area.
