Living in a masseria in Puglia means being close to the beach, the countryside, and a slower, more grounded way of life. Daily life here is simple, shaped by the weather, the land, and local tradition. That may be what led Kylie Verzosa to buy a home here, one that fits the place and how she wants to live in it.
Filipino actress-model and entrepreneur Kylie Verzosa shared Villa Sogno, a property she purchased along with Danish musician Tomas Barfod and four of their friends in Puglia, Italy. “Bought a house in Italy,” she wrote in her Instagram story. “She’s finally ours.”
Villa Sogno sits in the southern part of Puglia, surrounded by olive trees and open countryside. A glimpse of it appeared in her Instagram stories, first showing a night view of the villa’s swimming pool and corridor.
Once built as fortified farm estates, masserie are now sought-after stays in Puglia. The villa follows this traditional style, with textured stone walls, a central courtyard, and a symmetrical layout marked by arched walkways and neatly shaped trees leading to the entrance.
Its whitewashed exterior stands against a green landscape, blending into the rural setting. The pool sits close to the main structure, bordered by lounge chairs and a pergola, as climbing vines add quiet detail.
The villa has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a kitchen designed with brick accents and wide windows that bring in natural light and the coastal breeze. Wood accents, black details, and ceramic lighting match the pale stone walls, keeping the design simple and cohesive. Materials stay consistent throughout, with stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and earthy tones.
You enter the master bedroom through a wooden divider, where a canopy bed and a freestanding bathtub sit beneath curved stone ceilings. The space is furnished simply, keeping the focus on the structure and light. The villa is also close to several beaches, including Torre dell’Orso, Baia dei Turchi, Alimini Beach, and Spiaggia di Porto Badisco, all within a 20-minute drive.
The dining area has brick accents, wide windows, and a drum-shaped light, with wood, black, and ceramic details matching the pale stone walls.
Villa Sogno, which means “dream villa” in Italian, reflects exactly that for Verzosa and her friends, a quiet, grounded home surrounded by olive trees and farmland. Like other masserie in the region, it offers a slower pace shaped by local routines. It’s a simple, thoughtful space that matches the life they came here to live.
