Girl, 11, found dead in alleged drowning incident in Tondo

An 11-year-old girl was found dead in an alleged drowning incident on Wednesday, July 23, along the Maralla Bridge Northbound, near the boundary of Tondo, Manila, and Navotas City.
According to the Manila Police District-Raxabago Station, the victim was a resident of NBBS Proper, Barangay Satellite Street, Bodino, Navotas City.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Initial investigation by authorities revealed that the girl was discovered floating lifeless around 3 p.m. along the Maralla riverside by a 37-year-old witness residing near the area.
Rescue personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Philippine Coast Guard responded to the scene.
As of this report, authorities have not released further details on the circumstances surrounding the drowning. Investigation is ongoing.
