The mayor also reminded his constituents that the local government has adequate supply of Doxycycline antibiotics for those who waded through floodwaters to help prevent leptospirosis and other diseases caused by the floodwater. The medicine will be given to them free of charge.
“Upang mabigyan ng Doxycycline, magtungo po sa City Health Office (CHO) o alinmang Barangay Health Center na malapit po sa inyong lugar upang kayo ay ma-assess ng doctor, nurse o midwife na naka-assign po sa ating mga health facilities (To be given Doxycycline, please go to the City Health Office (CHO) or any Barangay Health Center near your area so that you can be assessed by a doctor, nurse or midwife assigned to our health facilities)," he said.
“Magpakonsulta na po agad para mabigyan tayo ng tamang gamot at makaiwas sa nakamamatay na leptospirosis. ’Wag na pong hintaying lumala (Seek immediate medical attention so you can be given the right medication and avoid deadly leptospirosis. Don't wait for it to get worse)," he added.
