Police arrested four men after they were found in possession of shabu at an evacuation center in Taguig on July 23.
Personnel from Taguig police’s Substation 9 nabbed the four men during a routine patrol at the Hagonoy Sports Complex evacuation center.
The police saw the suspects handling small plastic sachets in public view.
Upon inspection, the police discovered that the four men were in possession of four plastic sachets containing shabu, weighing 3.1 grams valued at P21,080.
The police immediately arrested the suspects who will face a complaint for violation of Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The four men and the illegal drugs were turned over to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation.
“Even amid heavy rainfall, our personnel remain alert—not only for rescue operations but also in preventing criminal activities. I commend the quick and decisive action of our officers in this operation,” said Col. Byron Allatog, Taguig police chief.
