A three-story residential house made of light materials collapsed on Wednesday, July 23, beside the Estero de Paco in Barangay 684, Paco, Manila.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the house's structure, primarily constructed from wood and other light materials, had reportedly weakened over time.

According to residents, creaking sounds were heard shortly before the collapse, prompting occupants to evacuate the building.
The recent continuous rains are believed to have contributed to the deterioration of the house’s structural integrity, further compromising its already fragile condition.
No injuries were reported, and all residents were able to exit the structure before it gave way.
According to Manila Department of Social Welfare Director Jay dela Fuente, 10 families were affected and are currently staying at the barangay's covered court and have already received assistance in the form of meals and family food packs.
Local authorities are currently assessing the area to determine potential risks to nearby homes and to ensure the safety of other residents.
