It was a series-long dominance for the MPL Philippines Season 15 champions with Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno setting the tone in the series opener before Kiel “Oheb” Soriano capped the brilliance with a Maniac in the final siege in Game 2.
Getting his hands on the signature Lancelot pick, Karltzy dazzled his way to a 7-1-8 KDA while Oheb had a 6-1-6 line on the Granger pick.
Alston Sanji Pabico provided support with a spotless 1-0-11 line on the Pharsa pick as TLPH dominated the team fights to score an 18-7 victory in just 13 minutes of play.
Ultra Legend did show some sort of resistance when it got some head start in Game 2 but TLPH quickly turned the tables behind a massive team fight in the midlane.
The Filipinos completed a five-man wipe of the Egyptians and snowballed from there. Oheb then took down four heroes from Ultra Legends to end the series and finish with a 10-1-11 tally on the Harith.
Karltzy showed no letup from his Game 1 performance and had 5-1-11 KDA on the Hayabusa while Sanji added 5-1-16 line on the Zhuxin pick. TLPH drubbed Ultra Legend, 27-9, to end the series.
Also coming out victorious was Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol-led Onic Indonesia which swept the CFU Gaming of Cambodia.
Interestingly, the two powerhouse squads found themselves in an early collision course in the upper bracket second round of the double-elimination group stage.
