Season 2 of hit Korean zombie series 'All of Us Are Dead' now in production
"All of Us Are Dead” season 1 (Netflix)
Netflix announced that season 2 of the hit Korean zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” is now in production.
Stars who will return for the second season are Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon.
Joining them are new cast members Lee Min-jae (“Weak Hero: Class 2”), Kim Si-eun (“Squid Game” season 2, “Next Sohee”), Roh Jae-won (who played Nam-gyu, Player 124, in “Squid Game” seasons 2 and 3), and Yoon Ga-i.
In season 1, “All of Us Are Dead” was about a group of students at Hyosan High School who tried to survive after a zombie outbreak in their school.
Season 1, released on Jan. 28, 2022, achieved success, placing fourth on on Netflix’s Top 10 Most Popular TV (Non-English) shows with 560.78 million hours viewed in the first 28 days on the OTT platform. It placed in the top 10 on the most watched non-English TV shows in 91 countries and territories
“All of Us Are Dead” is based on the webtoon by Joo Dong-geun.
Netflix announced the start of production for season 2 three years after it confirmed that “All of Us Are Dead” would have a new season.
In season 2, which returns with an expanded worldview and scale, a new zombie virus spreads in Seoul just when everything is thought to be over and back to normal.
After surviving the zombie outbreak at Hyosan High School, Nam On-jo (Park Ji-hu) is now a university student in Seoul. When a new zombie outbreak hits Seoul, she finds herself fighting again to survive.
Lee Cheong-san (Yoon Chan-young), Choi Nam-ra (Cho Yi-hyun), and Lee Su-hyeok (Lomon) are charting their lives after the zombie outbreak.
Nam On-jo becomes friends with students Yong Ma-ru (Lee Min-jae), So Ju-ran (Kim Si-eun), and Lee Jong-a (Yoon Ga-i).
Han Du-seok (Roh Jae-won) plays the role of a team leader from the National Intelligence Service.
“All of Us Are Dead” season 2 will be directed by Lee JQ (“Daily Dose of Sunshine”) and Kim Nam-su, and written by Chun Sung-il (“King the Land”).
