Other Pokémon-themed sites to visit in Japan
Since its debut in 1996, Pokémon has become one of the most successful media franchises worldwide, with an estimated revenue of $101.9 billion. As such, there are tons of other themed attractions tourists can visit while they await PokéPark Kanto's opening. Pokémon Centers are the most accessible for tourists. In Tokyo alone, there are four branches to visit. Worth checking out are the Shibuya branch, which has a Mewtwo animatronic, and the Mega Tokyo branch, known for being the largest Pokémon store in Japan. Pokémon Center Tokyo DX also has the Pokémon Café, where fans can enjoy treats based on their favorite characters. For the adventurers out there, you can go on the hunt for the PokéLids scattered throughout Japan. These are manhole covers brought to life with Pokémon art.
