PHINMA Education sees 8% income growth amid rising enrollment

PHINMA Education Holdings Inc. (PEHI) posted an eight percent growth in net income to ₱1.5 billion for its fiscal year from April 2024 to March 2025 as enrolments rose in its 12 schools in the Philippines and Indonesia.
In a statement, the firm said over 163,000 students, mostly from low-income families in the Philippines and Indonesia, gained access to higher education this year through PHINMA Education.
Committed to reaching those often left behind by traditional systems, PEHI has grown into Southeast Asia’s largest private education network focused on underserved communities.
“These results are a reflection of our deep commitment to student success,” said PHINMA Education Chief Financial Officer Daisy Montinola.
She added that, “Our continued investments in student support systems and retention programs have not only strengthened our operations but also reaffirmed our mission to serve.”
Across its 12 schools, PHINMA Education provides holistic, student-centered support including academic coaching, career mentoring, and life guidance, designed to help students stay on track and succeed.
Its scholarship programs also reduce the cost of education, broadening access for underserved students.
The Sahabat Horizon Scholarship in Indonesia offers recipients up to 50 percent tuition coverage, while the Hawak Kamay Scholarship in the Philippines takes this further by reducing tuition fees to as low as ₱5,500 per semester, with no entrance exam or maintaining grade requirements.
Driven by higher enrollment and retention, PHINMA Education’s revenues grew by 14 percent to ₱6.5 billion, while EBITDA rose by 15 percent to ₱2.2 billion, with cost-efficiency measures and reduced interest expenses.
“It’s equally rewarding to see our financial growth mirror the progress of our students. We’re excited about expanding our reach, and empower more students across Southeast Asia to transform their lives through education,” noted Montinola.
In line with this mission, PHINMA Education added Saint Jude College in Dasmariñas, Cavite and Kalbis University in Jakarta, Indonesia to its growing network.
To meet growing demand in underserved areas, PHINMA Education is preparing to open additional campuses in San Pablo (Laguna), Roxas City, Bacolod City, and Butuan City in the coming years.
