G-Dragon appointed promotional ambassador for APEC 2025 Korea

The 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit Preparation Committee appointed K-pop star G-Dragon of group Big Bang as promotional ambassador for the APEC 2025 Korea.

The 2025 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Economic Leaders’ Meeting will be held from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Gyeongju, South Korea.

“We’re excited to announce that G-Dragon — an iconic Korean artist celebrated for his unparalleled creativity and innovation — has been appointed as the Promotional Ambassador for APEC 2025 Korea,” APEC 2025 Korea posted on Instagram.

According to the APEC 2025 Korea website, G-Dragon has established himself as a unique “cultural icon” by being prominent in various fields such as fashion, art, and science and technology beyond K-pop

“G-Dragon is a symbol of creativity and innovation, and is the best person to powerfully convey the values of connection and sustainability that APEC pursues both domestically and internationally. By appointing G-Dragon, who has global influence, as a public relations ambassador, we will be able to further increase international interest in the APEC summit,” the APEC Korea preparation committee said.

As goodwill ambassador, G-Dragon will participate in activities to spread the key messages of the APEC 2025 Korea to the world, including appearing in promotional videos.

G-Dragon and Shin Wooseok will work together.
