'Coloring Lives VIII' spotlights senior talent in multi-medium exhibit
“Coloring Lives VIII” is a multi-medium art exhibit running at the Podium Atrium until July 27, 2025. It’s the kind of exhibit where, if you wanted to be a contributing artist, you’d need to be the proud holder of a senior citizen’s card. Fortunately for the rest of us, you don’t need to be a cardholder to visit and enjoy the diverse modes of art on display.

From paintings on canvas to three-dimensional sculptures, porcelain plates, and beautifully arranged decoupage and Ikebana, it’s truly gratifying to see how The Sunshine Place—the exhibit’s organizer—has become an artistic haven for many who have reached the age of 60 and beyond.
Solenn Heussaff, a talented artist herself, opened the exhibit and gushed over the Ikebana work of her mother, Cynthia.
Lizanne Uychaco, JonJon San Agustin, and Ian Mathay were present to offer welcome remarks and express gratitude for the support the exhibit received on its opening day. This impressive turnout took place on a balmy afternoon, despite being besieged by heavy rains.
As several artists shared, Sunshine Place and its art classes have given them the opportunity to transform retirement into a new journey of creative exploration. The Sunshine Place is a member of the Felicidad Tan-Sy Foundation and an affiliate of SM Retail.
