Global OTT Awards 2025 unveils nominees in 14 categories

The Global OTT Awards 2025 announced the nominees for this year’s “international awards ceremony celebrating excellence in TV, OTT, and digital content worldwide.”
Originally known as the ACA & Global OTT Awards held during the 2023 and 2024 Busan International Film Festival, the Global OTT Awards has become a program of the Streaming Festival 2025, which will be held from Aug. 22 to 25 at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan, South Korea.
The Global OTT Awards will be held on Aug. 24 at the Busan Cinema Center and co-hosted by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Busan Metropolitan City, and co-organized by the Korea International Streaming Festival (KISF) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

A total of 38 nominees in 14 categories were selected by a panel of preliminary judges who reviewed OTT content.
These are Best Creative, Best OTT Original, Best Asian Contents, Best Reality & Variety, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Lead Actor (Male), Best Lead Actor (Female), Best Supporting Actor (Male), Best Supporting Actor (Female), Best Newcomer Actor (Male), Best Newcomer Actor (Female), Best Visual Effects and Best Original Song.
For Best Creative, which honors titles that have captured global attention, the nominees are “Black Warrant” (Netflix), “Mad Unicorn” (Netflix) “Northward” (iQIYI), “When Life Gives You Tangerines” (Netflix) and “Our Unwritten Seoul” (tvN),
The Best OTT Original category honors titles that have achieved both commercial success and critical recognition. The nominees are “Born for the Spotlight” (Netflix), “Family Matters” (Coupang Play), “The First Frost” (Youku), “Nine Puzzles” (Disney+), “Study Group” (TVING), and “Yesterday’s You” (Viu).
The nominees for Best Asian Contents are “4°C” (TV+), “The Outlaw” Doctor (PTS+), “Saving Grace” (Prime Video), “Timeless Love Letters for My Classmates” (Yomiuri Telecasting), and “What If” (Viu).
“Saving Grace” is a Filipino drama series starring Julia Montes, Zia Grace and Sharon Cuneta.
Vying for Best Lead Actor (Male) are Kazakhstan’s Aitzhanov Berik for “4°C” (TV+). Bai Jingting for “The First Frost” (Youku), Park Bogum for “Good Boy” (JTBC), Nopparatayapon Natara “Mad Unicorn” (Netflix), Ju Ji-hoon for “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” (Netflix), and Sakaguchi Kentaro for “What Comes After Love” (Coupang Play).
The nominees for Best Lead Actor (Female) are Park Eunbin for “Hyper Knife” (Disney+), Bai Lu for “Northward” (iQIYI), Park Bo-young for “Our Unwritten Seoul” (tvN), IU for “When Life Gives You Tangerines” (Netflix) and Hirose Suzu for “Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle?” (TBS).
