Child survives fall into road excavation pit amid heavy rains in Quezon City

A child miraculously survived a fall into raging flood waters in a large road excavation site in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, on Monday afternoon, July 22.
Based on initial reports, the child followed his father who was on his way to fetch another child who had been playing in the rain.
The father, unaware that the younger child had followed him, only realized what had happened when bystanders alerted him.
The child fell into a deep hole at a construction site. The father immediately jumped into the pit to rescue him with the help of other residents.
 The boy was brought to the hospital for medical attention and was found to have no injuries.
