As of 2:20 p.m., the Marikina River water level was recorded at 16 meters, placing it under the Second Alarm status.
Rainfall readings contributing to the river's rise were recorded as follows:
Mt. Campana – 42 mm
Boso-Boso – 1 mm
Aries – 12 mm
Mt. Oro – 7 mm
Nangka – 9 mm
Total rainfall: 71 mm
Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro conducted an on-site inspection and discovered that flooding in some areas was worsened by clogged drainage systems, much of which contained waste coming from nearby cities. Declogging operations have since been launched.
Authorities reminded the public of the city's flood alert levels:
1st Alarm (15m): Be ready for possible evacuation
2nd Alarm (16m): Begin evacuating if needed
3rd Alarm (18m): Forced evacuation required
