Man hacked to death by older brother in Davao City

A 34-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death and his live-in partner and 11-month-old baby were injured by his older brother in Barangay Wangan, Calinan District, Davao City on Sunday, police said on Monday.
Police identified the fatality as Jing.
A report said Jing and his partner were drinking with the suspect Jan, 39, when Jan confronted Jing over the latter’s alleged affair with his wife.
The couple went home to diffuse the situation but the suspect  followed and forcibly entered their house and hacked the victims with a bolo.
The victim, his partner, and their baby were injured and taken to a hospital where Jing died from multiple hack wounds. The baby and mother are safe.
Jan was arrested and police recovered the murder weapon. The suspect faces murder and frustrated murder charges.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
