Khonghun hits VP Duterte over public confusion strategy: 'Is this your campaign plan?'

Zambales 1st district Rep. Jay Khonghun has called out Vice President Sara Duterte over her supposed strategy on public discourse.
Khonghun said the House and the public have seen through the lady official's strategy: “Guluhin ang isip ng taumbayan para mapagtakpan ang mga kasalanan (Confuse the public’s thinking just to cover up one’s wrongdoings)."
“If this is how she plans to run a national campaign, by attacking the truth and weaponizing victimhood, then the Filipino people deserve to know what kind of leadership she truly offers,” said the House "Young Guns" bloc member.
Khonghun was reacting to Vice President Duterte's claim that President Marcos colluded with the International Criminal Court (ICC) to arrest her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte last March 11.
The congressman said this conspiracy theory was “baseless, dishonest, and deeply irresponsible.”
Khonghun says that the Vice President’s statements allegedly undermine democratic institutions and diminish her own credibility.
The lady official was impeached by the House of Representatives last Feb. 5. House prosecutors are waiting on the Senate to carry out her impeachment trial.
Vice President Duterte earlier claimed that the impeachment csse was devised by her potlical opponents as a way to "eliminate the frontrunner" in the 2028 presidential race. She declared herself as that frontrunner.
