A total of 265 families or 881 individuals have been evacuated across Valenzuela City as heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continue to affect Metro Manila, according to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
According to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), as of 5 p.m., evacuation centers in both Districts 1 and 2 have been activated to accommodate residents displaced by rising floodwaters and unsafe living conditions.
District 1 Evacuation Sites:
Luis Francisco Elementary School, Veinte Reales: 23 families, 70 individuals
Bartolome Covered Court, Veinte Reales: 20 families, 79 individuals
Dalandanan National High School: 2 families, 9 individuals
Lingunan Elementary School: 3 families, 7 individuals
Pinalagad Elementary School: 2 families, 13 individuals
Arkong Bato National High School: 3 families, 12 individuals
District 2 Evacuation Sites:
3S Center Malabo, Maysan: 2 families, 4 individuals
Gen. T. De Leon National High School: 1 family, 7 individuals
3S Center Paso de Blas: 1 family, 2 individuals
Ugong Miners Court, Brgy. Ugong: 1 family, 3 individuals
Valenzuela National High School, Marulas: 167 families, 482 individuals
Karuhatan West Elementary School: 40 families, 193 individuals
The city government said relief efforts are ongoing, and CSWDO assured evacuees of adequate food, water, and medical support.
Authorities continue to monitor flood-prone areas and coordinate with emergency response units to ensure the safety and welfare of residents.
The city government has urged the public to remain vigilant and follow weather advisories as the monsoon rains persist.
