Tickets to Janine Tenoso concert almost sold out

Viva artist Janine Tenoso is bubbling with excitement as she gears up for her highly anticipated debut concert at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City on Sept. 6.
Entitled "Janine," the 26-year-old artist believes this is the perfect time for her concert because she feels she is in her most comfortable era as a musician.
"I will perform the songs I released before. I began my career in the industry at the age of 17. So my voice was different then, and the way I composed songs. Even the way I sang back then was different when I was starting. So, I will share my music journey from the time I started to where I am now as an artist," said Janine during a media conference for her concert at Viva Cafe in Araneta City recently.
When asked how nervous she was for her first concert, Janine said: "I'm more nervous about the outcome of the whole concert because I'm very hands-on from creative direction to arrangements of songs. I hope he aligns with my vision. But I know I am supported by a fantastic band and director. Knowing that makes me a little relieved."
Janine recalled that she received a text message from Viva Group of Companies Chairman and CEO Vic Del Rosario stating that she would be having a concert.
"I was surprised when Boss Vic sent me a message. However, I am happy because this is the perfect time for me to stage the show, as I have discovered my sound. I'm in my most comfortable era yet," she said.
After nine years in the industry, Janine described her career as an ever-changing journey.
"It's all about growing. However, as I mentioned earlier, I'm now in a comfortable era. Everything that happened nine years ago was meant for a reason, allowing me to arrive here. I'm happy that I'm releasing the songs I want and making music," she said.
Special guests
Janine also announced her special guests for the concert, describing them as artists with whom she had already collaborated.
Her special guest artists are Arthur Nery, Cup of Joe, The Juans, and Rob Deniel, with special participation by Rabin Angeles, star of the series "Seducing Drake Palma."
“I’m grateful, for the first time in my life, all of my dreams happened. Hindi lang ako mag-isa, I’m with the people that I’ve collaborated with. These are artists that I’ve looked up to, and being with them as a headliner, that’s kinda cool,” she said.
Janine said she enjoyed working with Cup of Joe, with whom they collaborated on the hit song "Tingin," released in 2023.
"I love Cup of Joe. I enjoyed working with the group. Noong ginawa namin yung Tingin two years ago, I remember they sent me a message, kung gusto ko raw mag collab with them. Sabi ko, 'Of course!' (When we did Tingin two years ago, I remember they sent me a message, asking if I wanted to collaborate with them. I said, 'Of course!')
"So we were calling over FaceTime, and they were singing the chorus of 'Tingin.' Sobrang ganda ng chorus. Sa sobrang excitement ko, that night, I wrote the second verse of 'Tingin.' I wrote it from 12 am until 5 a.m. Then I sent it to them. But I was surprised, Gian (Bernardino) was still up. (The chorus is so beautiful. "Then pinakinggan nila and sabi niya, 'Wow! Go na ito.' After three days, umakyat na ako ng Baguio to record the song. (Then they listened to it and said, 'Wow! This is it.' After three days, I went up to Baguio to record the song)," she said.
Janine is taking her artistry to greater heights with her latest Extended Play (EP) dubbed "Apat Na Buwan," a six-track collection that explores themes of love, growth, and healing. Recently, she also released her latest single "Pikit Mata."
With a promising career ahead, what else is missing for Janine? Some would say her love life, but the singer was focused on something else.
"Hindi pa ako nakapag-release ng album. (I haven't been able to release an album yet) So that's my goal for this year, or hopefully next year, to release an album," she said.
