PDEA: Female drug suspect yields 500 grams of shabu in Davao de Oro buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics agents seized on Saturday night, July 19, around 500 grams of shabu following the arrest of an alleged female drug pusher’during a buy-bust operation in Monkayo, Davao de Oro, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.

In a statement, the PDEA said that alias Jelay, 25, was collared at around 11:05 p.m. at Purok Kawayan in Barangay Union after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

After the deal was consummate, the agents nearby immediately pounced on the suspect leading to her apprehension.

Aside from shabu, the Davao de Oro Provincial Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 11 and the Monkayo Municipal Police Station also confiscated the buy-bust money from the suspect.

The suspect faces charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
