Muntinlupa, other NCR LGUs' total population reaches 14 million

The total population of Muntinlupa and the other 16 local government units in the National Capital Region (NCR) reached 14 million in 2024.
The Muntinlupa City government announced that the city’s population totaled 552,225 as of July 1, 2024 based on the Philippine Statistics Authority's 2024 Census of Population (2024 POPCEN).
This is an increase of 8,780 individuals, or 0.39 percent, compared to 543,445 in PSA’s 2020 Population Census.
Based on the 2024 Census, the total Philippine population reached 112,729,484, an increase of 3,694,141 people (0.8 percent) compared to 109,035,343 in the 2020 Census.
NCR’s population reached 14,001,751 as of July 1, 2024, an increase of 517,289 people (0.91 percent) compared to 13,484,462 in the 2020 Census.
Quezon City is the most populated LGU in the NCR with 3,084,270, followed by Manila with 1,902,590 and Caloocan with 1,712,945;
Taguig’s population increased to 1,308,085 in 2024, up by 84,490 (1.61 percent) from 1,223,595 in 2020, the fourth most populated LGU in the NCR. The increase was attributed to the transfer of 10 EMBO (enlisted men’s barrio) barangays from Makati to Taguig.
Pateros, the smallest LGU in NCR, recorded a population of 67,319, an increase of 2,092 people (0.76 percent) compared to 65,227 in 2020.
