Several streets across Manila have been reported flooded following overnight rains, with water levels ranging from gutter-deep to knee-deep, on Sunday morning, July 20, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
While most areas remain passable to all types of vehicles, certain key intersections have become impassable to light vehicles due to deeper floodwaters.

Authorities reported half-tire deep flooding, approximately 13 inches, along Taft Avenue in front of the NBI and at the corner of España Boulevard and M. Dela Fuente.
Both locations are currently not passable to light vehicles.
Knee-deep floods, reaching around 19 inches, have also been observed at España corner Quintos Street, along Kalaw facing General Luna, and along the stretch of Blumentritt heading toward Tambunting, rendering these areas inaccessible to smaller vehicles.
Despite these critical areas, the majority of flooded roads remain gutter-deep, around 8 inches, and are still navigable by all types of vehicles.
This includes sections of Roxas Boulevard service road from U.N. Avenue to Pedro Gil, the northbound lane of U.N. Avenue and Taft, as well as multiple points along Taft Avenue including intersections at Pedro Gil, Apacible, and P. Faura.
Similar conditions are being reported in front of Philippine General Hospital and the Manila City Hall, at United Nations Station southbound, and at Taft Quirino Station northbound.
Floodwaters also remain at gutter level in areas such as RMB Altura Interior, Gagalangin corner Hermosa, and Maceda Street corner Dimasalang.
Conditions are the same in the Baseco area along GK Main Road, Aurora Boulevard near Tambunting, Dimasa-lang near Simoun, and Lacson corner Dapitan.
Tayuman near Antonio Rivera and Abad Santos corner Antipolo Street are also experiencing manageable flood levels.
Other affected routes include portions of Roxas Boulevard service road going toward Quirino and the stretch from Roxas Boulevard corner Kalaw to Padre Faura.
Taft corner Remedios heading toward Kalaw is also flooded but remains passable.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution, especially when passing through low-lying areas.
Authorities said light vehicles should avoid roads where water levels exceed half-tire depth to prevent possible engine damage and accidents.
Traffic enforcers and disaster response personnel are currently monitoring the situation and assisting motorists where needed.
Residents and commuters are encouraged by the local government to stay tuned to official advisories for updates on road conditions and alternate routes.
